Beyond The Mirror was founded by Ashlie and Yvonne — two passionate hairdressers with over a decade of experience and one shared vision: to create a salon rooted in professionalism, education, and genuine care.

From the very beginning, Ashlie and Yvonne believed that Fairbanks deserved more than just another beauty salon — it needed a space where creativity, warmth, and mentorship could thrive. A place where clients felt welcomed and understood, and where upcoming stylists could be nurtured through hands-on learning.

Though Yvonne has since relocated, her legacy remains woven into the heart of Beyond The Mirror. Today, under Ashlie’s leadership, we’ve grown into a diverse team of beauty professionals who are passionate about making people feel confident, seen, and celebrated.

We are more than a salon — we are a community that gives back. Through our apprenticeship and education programs, we’re proud to invest in the next generation of stylists while continuing to provide our clients with expert care in a warm, inclusive environment.
